The party was already ending as Erik descended the stairs with Vaugh in tow. People were slowly leaving the party, most of them with headaches and a good story a two they could share in the future. After leaving work for the day, Erik turned toward his car and started walking. He'd had to park near the end of the parking lot because the amount of cars that had occupied it when he arrived earlier that day. The first time I saw him, his eyes were green. It was on the 7:30 bus I usually took to school. I got on and payed my fee, then started walking toward the back. I noticed and empty spot with nobody sitting near it on my way there, though, and sat down there instead. Across from me was a guy maybe my age, 16, maybe a year older.
